I AM ISRAEL is an epic documentary film which takes viewers on a cinematic journey through the Land of the Bible, and follows the stories of fascinating Jewish men and women who are part of the rebirth of the nation of Israel. It is narrated by award winning actor John Rhys-Davies, best known for his roles in the Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings series. I AM ISRAEL is produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker David Kiern, who scripted the film after a trip to the Holy Land with Tommy Waller. “The true story of what is unfolding today in Israel is incredibly compelling from a filmmaking point of view.” Kiern said. “One of my favorite lines in the film was spoken by a vineyard owner named Yaakov Berg. He told me that Israel is the best proof God exists and is still acting in our world. It’s a fantastic line in the movie, and encapsulates one of the main themes of the film.”
With Tommy Waller serving as the Executive Producer, HaYovel is privileged to partner with David Kiern and Elul 25 Foundation for this incredible film. The film is set to premiere in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria’s liberation in 1967.
Kiern and producer Lance McAlindon founded the Elul 25 Foundation, which is releasing I AM ISRAEL at no cost to churches, synagogues and Bible study groups beginning May 23, 2017.
