We have been blessed with Lana, Anya, David, Benjamin, Reuben, Faith and Havah and we are so excited to be able to share a snippet of our story with you here.
Since getting married in 2007 and starting a family, we have always strived to live our life in the most God-honoring way we could, and this has seen many changes as we have been pruned. Deciding to let God determine how many children we would be blessed with has been a huge part of that and has brought countless blessings. Just as one door leads to another, so it has been for us; by deciding to be submitted to, trusting in, and being obedient to God’s breathed and living word.
The pruning got more serious a couple of years ago and we have been on a great journey of discovery since then. We felt sure that God was preparing us for something, and that something is Israel. More specifically Judea and Samaria, the Biblical Heartland.
I (Pete) came on a two-week pruning trip in February of 2020 and it changed my life. To have your feet in the soil of the promised land and to be pruning grapevines on the Mount of Blessing, in Samaria, whilst pondering the words of our Messiah, recorded in the book of John and the words of God spoken through the prophets, is not something I can put into words.
I am the true vine and my Father is the vinedresser.
– John 15
You shall yet plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as ordinary food.
– Jeremiah 31:5
Also, the restoration of relationships between Christians and Jews after two thousand years worth of atrocities carried out in the name of Christianity.
And they will build the old wastes, they will raise up the ruins of former times. And they will repair the waste cities, the ruins of many generations. And strangers will stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the stranger will be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
– Isaiah 61:4-5
I urge anyone who says that Yeshua (the name the disciples would have called Jesus) is his or her Lord and King to come and experience this. The work that HaYovel has been called to cannot be overstated. Everyone at HaYovel has left everything behind to be a part of the prophesied restoration of this chosen land. The vineyard owners and farmers that HaYovel work with are mostly first-generation farmers and the support and encouragement that HaYovel has given cannot be measured.
We are hoping that you will partner with God and enable us to be His hands and feet. HaYovel is a growing operation and there is a greater demand on existing infrastructure and facilities as well as a demand for new. I am thankful that I have been given the opportunity to use the talents God has given me to further His Kingdom.
